Finding your way

The château is at the exit of the village of Vougeot, by the clos, on the Route des Grands Crus between Dijon and Beaune. The D974 runs alongside it: the wall and then the roof appear before you see the sign. The reception and ticket office are in the courtyard, and there is on-site parking. The village is small; in July and August, spaces fill up by mid-morning.

To locate the surroundings: Chambolle-Musigny to the north, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges to the south, Gilly-lès-Cîteaux a 15-minute walk through the vineyards, and Cîteaux Abbey about ten kilometers to the east. Detailed routes from Dijon and Beaune are on how to get there.

By train

Vougeot-Gilly-lès-Cîteaux station is served by the TER Dijon–Beaune line. From the station to the château: a flat one-kilometer walk, a 15-minute stroll between the plots. Check the return schedule before you leave; trains are spaced out during the day.

Field tip

Save the château’s number before you come. A 30-second call on a Saturday will tell you if a private event shortens the day or closes rooms.
